Temporary hospital opened in Falam Town, Chin State, and medical treatment activities are being carried out

It is reported that a temporary hospital has been opened in Falam Town, Chin State, and medical treatment activities are being carried out. On June 30, U Myo Myint, Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Construction, along with members of the Reconstruction and Resettlement Committee in Chin State, departed from Tedim Town by motor vehicle to Falam Town, and inspected the condition of the Tedim-Sainngan-Falam road section and the operational status of the temporary hospital opened in Falam Town where medical treatment is being provided. The Deputy Minister and his delegation inspected the condition of the Tedim-Sainngan-Falam road section and the Barr Bridge, and after inspecting the roads and bridges damaged by terrorist incidents, they instructed that necessary repairs and maintenance be carried out to ensure smooth travel for the public, that efforts be focused on preventing water accumulation on roads and bridges during the rainy season, and that responsible officials at all levels should organize and implement measures in advance to prevent road blockages due to landslides during the rainy season. Subsequently, the Deputy Minister and his delegation, along with members of the Reconstruction and Resettlement Committee at the state, district, and township levels, arrived at the temporary hospital in Falam Town and discussed the status of preparation and management of the temporary hospital, the status of the (mobile) operating room installation, the water supply status, the electricity supply status, the possibility of further expansion of the hospital, the status of medicine procurement, and the status of medical treatment with town elders, the chief medical officer, and hospital staff. At the temporary hospital in Falam Town, a total of 90 medical and public health staff, including the chief medical officer, are providing medical treatment to 50 outpatients and 8 inpatients. As of June 30, a total of 1088 patients have received healthcare services at the hospital, and 24 patients have been vaccinated.
