CPP Vows to Prevent Starvation Deaths, Supports Vulnerable Citizens

Yos Thanary, a member of the National Assembly and deputy head of the working group for Kampong Speu district, stated that the Cambodian People's Party (CPP) will not allow any citizen to die from starvation. Speaking at a meeting with vulnerable citizens at the Neay Pich commune hall in Kampong Svay district, Kampong Thom province, on September 25, 2026, she conveyed the warm regards of the government leadership who are always concerned about the people's hardships, regardless of their busy national duties. Thanary further stated that the CPP remains the sole party actively and significantly involved in rescuing Cambodia and driving continuous economic and political development, while also supporting the livelihoods of citizens, especially the poor, without regard for political affiliation or religion. She cited the current visit as an example, where upon receiving news from the commune party chief about the plight of struggling residents, she and the party working group immediately provided assistance to the local community, ensuring no one suffered from food shortages. This, she explained, demonstrates the leadership's commitment, guided by the clear policy that the "Party of the People is born from the people, for the people, and with the people," and that no other party can replace the CPP. Therefore, she urged all citizens to continue supporting and voting for the CPP to encourage and honor the party's leadership, so that they can share joy and sorrow together under the roof of peace and witness the nation's unceasing development. In this aid distribution, 67 families from three villages received donations. Each family received 25 kilograms of rice, two cases of purified water, and a food package containing 20 packets of instant noodles, three bottles of fish sauce, three bottles of soy sauce, one kilogram of pickled radish, and five cans of sardines.
