Meeting with Hluttaw Committee: Hluttaw Speaker met with comm. on rule of law and stability

Speaker of the Pyithu Hluttaw U Khin Yi, together with Deputy Speaker U Maung Maung Ohn and officials from the Pyithu Hluttaw Office, met with members of the Committee on the Rule of Law and Stability at the Hluttaw Affairs Building (I-4) in Nay Pyi Taw, Monday afternoon. First, the Committee Chairman, Secretary, and members introduced themselves individually. Then, Committee Chairman U Hla Min explained the committee's duties, ongoing activities, and planned measures for future implementation. Following this, the Deputy Speaker of the Pyithu Hluttaw, in his capacity as Chairman of the Parliamentary Rights Committee, stated that he has a responsibility to address any needs of Pyithu Hluttaw representatives in carrying out their parliamentary duties. He also pledged to coordinate efforts to ensure that the committees can successfully implement their work. Afterward, the Speaker of the Pyithu Hluttaw provided guidance, stating that the committee should coordinate efforts to establish Safe Zones and Safe Cities through precise measures in implementing rule of law activities, and work toward reducing crimes in townships and villages. He emphasized that the committee should strive to enable the submission of questions and motions in Hluttaw on these matters. He also stressed the need for collaborative discussions and coordination on measures to ensure professionalism among law enforcement institutions. Regarding anti-corruption efforts, he requested that the committee consult, review, and coordinate the practical implementation of the CPU teams established in relevant ministries and organizations, providing guidance on these and other matters. In addition, the Speaker of the Pyithu Hluttaw received and met with members of the Myanmar Youth Development Association (Central) and the Motherland Loyalty News Media Group, who had come to observe the proceedings of the 22nd day of the Second Regular Session of the Third Pyithu Hluttaw. The meeting took place in the afternoon at the meeting hall on the second floor of the Pyithu Hluttaw Building (C), it’s reported.
