Quang Ngai Province Approves 16 Key Resolutions to Drive Socio-Economic Development

Quang Ngai Province in central Vietnam held its 8th session (specialized) of the 14th Provincial People's Council, for the 2026-2031 term, on September 25. During the session, 16 important resolutions were considered and approved according to the council's authority. Key provincial leaders, including Mr. Ho Van Niên, Member of the Central Party Committee and Secretary of the Quang Ngai Provincial Party Committee, attended the meeting. Speaking at the session, Mr. Nguyễn Đức Tuy, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, stated that the resolutions passed address critical and urgent issues, contributing to the implementation of socio-economic development tasks, the consolidation of national defense and security, and meeting the management and administration requirements of the locality for 2026 and subsequent years. A significant resolution pertains to the medium-term public investment plan for the 2026-2030 period. This plan will serve as a basis for People's Councils at the commune level to decide on their own medium-term public investment plans, using local budget funds. Furthermore, the council approved a resolution on the list of areas designated for pilot implementation of commercial housing projects in 2026. This marks the first time the Provincial People's Council has issued such a resolution in accordance with Resolution No. 171/2024/QH15 of the National Assembly. In relation to the commercial housing project resolution, Mr. Nguyễn Đức Tuy urged the Provincial People's Committee to publicize the list of designated land areas, issue notices of approval for real estate businesses to undertake pilot projects, and proceed with subsequent legal steps. He also requested that the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council, the council's committees, delegate groups, and representatives inform voters and the public about the session's outcomes and the content of the approved resolutions, particularly those directly impacting citizens' rights, interests, and lives. Enhanced supervision of legal compliance and resolution implementation at the local level was also emphasized, with a call to promptly identify and propose solutions for any difficulties or obstacles that arise. During the session, Mr. Trần Hữu Ích, Commander of the Quang Ngai Provincial Military Command, was elected as a member of the Provincial People's Committee for the 2026-2031 term.
