Heavy Rain Alert Issued for Central and Southern Vietnam, Flood Warning for Dong Nai River

Vietnam has issued warnings for heavy rainfall expected over the next 24 hours in its central and southern regions. The Dong Nai River is forecast to reach alert levels 1 to 2, raising concerns about potential flooding in low-lying areas along the river and in specific districts within Dong Nai province, including Đăk Lua, Nam Cát Tiên, Tà Lài, Thanh Sơn, and Phú Vinh, as well as surrounding areas. Authorities are urging residents to prepare for natural disasters as the rainy season brings increased risks of floods and landslides. Weather forecasts for September 6 indicate cool conditions in the north, with thunderstorms possible across the country. Flood warnings have also been issued for rivers in the northern and north-central regions due to prolonged heavy rain, with Hai Phong city specifically cautioning about the risk of flash floods and landslides in five areas.
