6 Suspected BIFF Fighters Killed in Philippine South Clash

Six armed men suspected of links to the outlawed Bangsamoro Islamic Freedom Fighters (BIFF) were killed Saturday in a law enforcement operation in Barangay Balong in the Special Geographic Area (SGA) of the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM). The Philippine National Police (PNP), backed by the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP), carried out the operation in Cotabato City. Security forces are continuing their operations to eliminate threats posed by extremist groups to the community.
