Cambodian Guard Police Conduct Live-Fire Training to Enhance Weapons Proficiency

The Guard Police Department of the General Commissariat of National Police conducted live-fire training following the completion of a technical skills course on weapons usage. This training aims to enhance the professional capabilities of the Guard Police officers. The training took place on September 4th, led by Major General Mau Chankujna, Director of the Guard Police Department. Major General Mau Chankujna instructed the instructors to diligently impart their knowledge, skills, and valuable experiences to the trainees, encouraging them to apply these in their practical duties safely and effectively. He emphasized that after completing this specialized training, all police officers will gain a clearer and deeper understanding of weapon handling techniques and safe storage practices. He particularly highlighted the importance of practical, hands-on training on the firing range. The Guard Police force is tasked with maintaining security, order, and safety at various ministries, government institutions, and especially at foreign embassies and their residences. Therefore, Major General Mau Chankujna stated that such specialized training must be conducted regularly, as learning is a continuous process. He clarified that this training is not to imply that the police officers are unfamiliar with weapon techniques, but rather to reinforce their commitment and vigilance, akin to sharpening a blade to keep it keen.
