
Vietnam's Outbound Investment Surges to Over $1.21 Billion in H1
Vietnam's outbound investment surged past $1.21 billion in the first half of 2026, a significant increase year-on-year, driven by construction, energy, and transportation sectors. Vietnam’s outbound investment reached 794.6 million USD in January-May 2026, 2.5 times higher than a year earlier, with construction, energy supply, and transportation and warehousing accounting for the largest shares of overseas investment. Vietnamese firms invested nearly 714 million USD abroad in the first four months of 2026, up 2.3-fold year-on-year, according to the National Statistics Office under the Ministry of Finance.
