BI Orders Probe into NAIA Officers' Brawl

Two female Bureau of Immigration (BI) officers at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 3 were involved in a physical altercation that escalated from a verbal dispute, including slapping and hair pulling, in full view of passengers arriving at NAIA Terminal 3. The BI confirmed the incident and has ordered both officers to submit written explanations. The BI stated that the incident stemmed from a personal and private matter involving the two officers. Airport insiders said the incident was a case of a love triangle, as the two women are reportedly romantically involved with the same immigration officer. In a statement, the BI said it expects all personnel to maintain professionalism, proper decorum, and discipline at all times, particularly while performing their official duties. The BI reiterated that it would not tolerate any form of unprofessional conduct, misconduct, or behavior unbecoming of a public officer. It added that appropriate administrative actions would be taken based on the results of the investigation and in accordance with existing rules and regulations.
