Worker Truck Overturns on Highway 36 Near Pattaya, Injuring Eleven

CHONBURI: At least eleven people were injured, some seriously, after a six-wheel truck carrying factory workers overturned early Tuesday on Highway 36 heading toward Pattaya, Thai media reported. The crash occurred around 6:30–6:40 a.m. on September 22nd near kilometer marker 3+600 in Moo 3, in the Nong Pla Lai subdistrict of Banglamung district. Several factory workers were reportedly on board the truck when it overturned, leading to some being ejected from the vehicle and others trapped inside. Emergency services were dispatched to the scene, providing initial medical treatment before transporting the injured to nearby hospitals. Some of the injuries are described as serious. The driver of the truck attributed the accident to slippery road conditions at the time. The incident caused temporary traffic disruptions on Highway 36, affecting travel towards Pattaya. Authorities are currently investigating the exact cause of the crash.
