Cambodia's Anti-Corruption Unit Resolves 57 Cases in October, Boosts Exam Monitoring

The Anti-Corruption Unit (ACU) of Cambodia processed and decided on a total of 57 corruption-related complaints in October. This was reported during the 12th meeting of the National Council for National Anti-Corruption (NCAC), held under the high presidency of Senior Minister Men Sam An, President of NCAC. The ACU also reported several incidents related to online scams (skimming). In terms of preventing and combating corruption, the ACU is leading monitoring activities for the high school exit examinations scheduled for August 10, 2026. The selection of 4,150 volunteer monitors has been completed, and ACU teams have commenced direct monitoring from the initial stages of printing and packaging exam papers, organized by the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport. The ACU highly evaluates the examination system implemented by the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport, and is committed to continuously strengthening this system to ensure transparency and fairness, adhering to the principle of "those who learn will pass." Furthermore, the ACU has participated in monitoring public procurement activities, overseeing 86 public procurement projects by 29 procurement units. The unit also continues to conduct on-site operations in various localities based on requests from the Ministry of Economy and Finance and other ministries. Following the report from Mr. Om Yentieng, President of the ACU, the NCAC engaged in active discussions, raised questions, and provided constructive recommendations.
