Youth groups fight in Lashio

Mekong, September 14 It has been learned that a group of youths clashed in Lashio, northern Shan State, which is under the control of the State Administration Council, yesterday (September 13). The youths clashed within the grounds of the Mansu Pagoda in Lashio, and police were called to disperse them. "There were all sorts of ethnic groups. I saw a Palaung flag, that was one group. People visiting the pagoda were startled. When the police came, they ran away. Some were caught," said a local resident of Lashio. According to the resident, some of the youths involved appeared to have used drugs, and the fight was over a woman.
