MANILA, Philippines — The Department of Justice (DOJ) will evaluate a request by the United States to extradite alleged sex offender and sect leader Apollo Quiboloy to determine how such proceedings overseas could affect his criminal cases in local courts. The DOJ has received the voluminous documents containing the extradition request transmitted by the US. Quiboloy, the founder of the religious group "Kingdom of Jesus Christ, The Name Above Every Name," is facing charges in the Philippines for alleged sexual abuse and human trafficking of his followers. The US has sought the extradition of Quiboloy to face charges of sex trafficking and conspiracy to commit sex trafficking in the US District Court for the Eastern District of Washington.
