Union Minister U Tin Aung San attended the funeral of Iran's Supreme Leader Khamenei

It is reported that Union Minister U Tin Aung San, who is also the spokesperson for the State Administration Council, visited Iran at the invitation of the Iranian government to attend the funeral ceremony of the Supreme Leader and former religious leader of Iran, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. On the morning of July 2nd, Union Minister U Tin Aung San arrived at Tehran International Airport and met with the Director General of the Department of Foreign Relations of the Ministry of Defense and the Head of the Asia and Pacific Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the airport's VIP lounge. It is said that discussions were held on further strengthening friendly relations and economic cooperation between the two countries, increasing mutual understanding and cooperation on regional and international fronts, and continuing cooperation in various sectors that are practical and mutually beneficial to both countries. On the afternoon of July 3rd, he attended the funeral ceremony of the Supreme Leader and former religious leader of Iran, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, held in Tehran. He paid respects to the body along with the national honor guard, and then met with the President of Iran, the Speaker of Parliament, the Chief Justice, and the Minister of Foreign Affairs. It is understood that he conveyed the condolences and sympathy of the Myanmar government on the passing of the former religious leader of Iran.
