Prachin Buri Pushes Herb Industry, Aims for Integrated Supply Chain by 2027

Prachin Buri province in eastern Thailand is launching a comprehensive promotion strategy to foster its local herb industry into an internationally competitive sector. The province has solidified its policy to establish an integrated supply chain, covering the entire process from upstream to downstream – encompassing cultivation, processing, final product manufacturing, and domestic and international sales – by 2027 (Buddhist Era 2570). This comprehensive plan includes improving herb quality, standardizing cultivation techniques, advancing processing technologies, and developing new markets. The aim is to maximize the potential of Thai herbs, with a particular focus on developing high-value-added herb products. Furthermore, to accelerate these initiatives, the province plans to host a large-scale international exhibition and event related to herbs in early 2025. This event is expected to serve as a platform for domestic and international buyers, researchers, and related companies to gather, showcase the latest technologies, foster business exchange, and build new partnerships. The goal is to enhance Prachin Buri province's recognition as a hub for the herb industry and contribute to regional economic revitalization.
