Rice bags 1000 and cooking oil over 6000 viss, consumer goods and construction materials provided to returnees in Tiddim, Thantlang and Falam townships

It is reported that consumer goods and construction materials, including 1000 bags of rice and over 6000 viss of cooking oil, were provided to returnees who had left their homes in Tiddim, Thantlang, and Falam townships in Chin State. In Tiddim, Thantlang, and Falam townships, 1000 bags of rice, 6160 viss of cooking oil, 400 bags of cement, 6756 sheets of zinc, 20 boxes of galvanized iron sheets, and 600 sets of rescue and return materials were provided by the state to returnees who had left their homes, it is reported. On July 23, Deputy Minister U Myo Myint of the Ministry of Construction, along with the Minister for Municipal Affairs of the Chin State Government, members of the Chin State Reconstruction and Rehabilitation Committee, and members of the Working Committee, inspected road maintenance and repair works within Falam town, and subsequently visited the Midwifery Training School and Basic Education High School No. (3). Upon arriving at the site for gravel filling at the low-lying section between mileposts 78/7 and 79/2 of the Kalay-Falam-Haka Road, and the site for clearing landslide debris due to heavy rain between mileposts 82/0 and 82/3, the Deputy Minister and his delegation instructed that necessary maintenance and repair works be prioritized to ensure smooth travel for the public on roads and bridges damaged by terrorist incidents, that efforts be made to prevent water accumulation on roads during the rainy season, and that responsible officials at all levels should coordinate and supervise in advance to prevent road blockages due to landslides in mountainous areas during the rainy season. Following this, the Deputy Minister and his delegation visited the Midwifery Training School of the Department of Health Human Resources in Falam town. The Deputy Minister inspected the cleanliness of the school surroundings and campus, and instructed officials to store reusable materials such as zinc sheets, timber, iron bars, iron doors, window frames, sills, water purification, and electrical appliances from buildings damaged by terrorist incidents, and also instructed officials on methods for repairing buildings that require renovation. Subsequently, the Deputy Minister and his delegation arrived at Basic Education High School No. (3) in Falam town. The Deputy Minister urged for efforts to maintain cleanliness and beauty in the school surroundings and campus, to expedite the repair of classrooms damaged by terrorist incidents, and to focus on reopening the high school. As of the current time, 288 basic education schools have been opened in Tiddim, Thantlang, and Falam townships, providing education to 21,758 basic education students with 1,251 teachers. Additionally, 529 education (planning) staff are carrying out departmental duties. It is reported that school textbooks, notebooks, uniforms, pencils, and ballpoint pens provided by the state have also arrived. In Tiddim, Thantlang, and Falam townships, township public hospitals have been opened, and 14,259 patients have received medical treatment from 285 doctors and healthcare staff. It is reported that laboratory equipment, treatment supplies, and medicines provided by the state have also arrived.
