Cambodia Begins Printing High School Exam Results, Announcement Set for September 2

The printing process for the results of the high school graduation examination (Bakdup), held on August 10, began this morning. The Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport is scheduled to announce the results nationwide on September 2, and they will also be disseminated through the Ministry's official Facebook page. Led by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Education, Youth and Sport, Hang Chuon Naron, ministry leaders inspected the printing process. The Anti-Corruption Unit also participated in this inspection to ensure that all stages of the examination are conducted in accordance with the principles of law, justice, transparency, and acceptability. Khuon Vicheka, spokesperson for the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport, previously told Kampuchea Thmey that during the correction of answer sheets and computer-based score tabulation, the involved committees have diligently performed their duties in accordance with the principles set by the Ministry. Vicheka emphasized that the answer sheet correction process strictly adheres to the principle of 'those who know will pass.' To ensure anonymity, the header of the candidate's answer sheet is removed, and a secret number is assigned, preventing graders from knowing the identity of the candidate whose paper they are correcting. She advised all candidates not to worry excessively or put too much pressure on themselves, urging them to trust the examination and correction process, affirming that these procedures are conducted according to the 'those who know will pass' principle. Furthermore, Vicheka encouraged candidates, stating that while the graduation exam results may reflect their academic performance over the past 12 years, they are not the sole determinant of their future and success. Regardless of whether they pass or fail, candidates should continue to pursue lifelong learning, fulfill their responsibilities with dedication, and persevere to achieve future opportunities and success.
