PATTAYA, Thailand – A 35-year-old man from Krabi Province was discovered lying in a pool of blood outside a convenience store in Pattaya late Sunday night, August 2nd, 2026. The man, who claims to have been assaulted on Jomtien Beach, had reportedly fled a hospital while suffering from severe, untreated wounds. Officers from the Muang Pattaya Police Station responded to the incident around 10 p.m. Upon arrival, they found the man with serious injuries, believed to be from a knife attack. He received initial medical attention at the scene before being transported to a hospital. The man stated he was attacked on Jomtien Beach, but due to his condition, a full account of the events could not immediately be obtained. Authorities are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the alleged assault and working to identify the perpetrator(s). The man's departure from the hospital is also under review.
