Thai Ruling Party MP Explains 28 Million Baht Fund Inflow as 'Gold Trading Investment'

Mr. Pawut Pongvitayapanu, a Member of Parliament (MP) for the ruling People's Party, explained via Facebook that the 28 million baht fund inflow mentioned by the Department of Special Investigation (DSI) was from an investment in a gold trading account opened three years ago. The MP stated that prior to entering politics, he was involved in various businesses but is no longer associated with the company in question. He also mentioned incurring losses from gold investments and has since ceased trading. Mr. Pawut suggested potential inaccuracies in the DSI's announcement and expressed his willingness to cooperate with further investigations.
