75 Cambodian National Police Officers Begin Basic Training in Siem Reap

Major General Heng Sophal, the Kampong Thom Provincial Police Commissioner, met and addressed 75 national police officers who are set to undergo training at the National Police School of the 4th Region in Siem Reap province on the afternoon of July 22, 2026. Major General Heng Sophal welcomed and congratulated the officers, who are among the 131 national police officers selected for service in 2025 and assigned to administrative police posts in communes and Sangkats within the Kampong Provincial Police Commissionerate. Specifically, 75 officers were dispatched to attend the 20th intake, second session, of the basic police professional training course at the National Police School of the 4th Region in Siem Reap province. The Commissioner advised all trainees to strictly adhere to discipline, internal regulations of the course, and to diligently pay attention to the lessons taught by the instructors. He encouraged them to ask questions on points they do not fully understand and to participate in discussions, which are crucial for gaining additional knowledge. Furthermore, he noted that in the current era of technological advancement, learning and research can be conducted anywhere through the internet and various social networks to broaden knowledge. Concurrently, the Commissioner urged the trainees to cultivate a spirit of patience, perseverance, and resilience in facing all obstacles. He emphasized the importance of strengthening solidarity in teamwork, mutual assistance, and taking care of their health to be prepared to effectively fulfill the duties assigned by the leadership. Major General Heng Sophal expressed his confidence that after completing the training, all trainees will return to their respective units and apply the knowledge and experience gained to perform their daily roles and responsibilities effectively, serving the interests of the nation and its citizens, in line with the expectations of the leadership of the Ministry of Interior, the National Police General Commissariat, and the Kampong Thom Provincial Police Commissionerate.
