On the afternoon of September 1, 2026, Mr. Keo Thara Rasmy, Governor of Mongkol Borei District, along with his working group, inspected the ongoing drainage ditch installation project. The site is located near the old cinema and on the road leading to Mongkol Borei Market in Ruessei Kroam Commune. This project, funded by the provincial budget, has seen approximately 230 meters of work completed as of the inspection. During his site visit, Governor Keo Thara Rasmy urged the working group and project implementers to accelerate construction, ensuring both speed and technical quality to meet the project's timeline and deliver tangible benefits to the residents. Governor Keo Thara Rasmy emphasized that the drainage system installation is not merely an infrastructure construction but a crucial component in improving the drainage system, reducing flooding, and ensuring the safety of residents' travel, especially during heavy rainfall. He highlighted the commitment of both provincial and district authorities to improving drainage ditches along roads and in densely populated areas, viewing the resolution of flooding issues and the orderly arrangement of urban areas as integral to enhancing the quality of life for citizens. Concurrently, the governor requested understanding and cooperation from residents living along the project site for any temporary inconveniences that may arise during construction, such as disruptions to traffic or access to homes and businesses. He also called on residents to collaborate with the authorities and technical teams in maintaining the drainage system, particularly by not discarding waste or solid objects into the ditches, which can cause blockages and hinder the system's effectiveness.
