The Military Council is currently launching offensives to regain control of strategically important areas along the Mandalay-Myitkyina road and railway, which lie on the border of Sagaing Region and Kachin State, and is also attacking and burning villages in the region, according to local resistance news sources. According to the current ground situation, the Military Council has divided into two columns and invaded Mezar Sanpyar Village, located south of Indaw Township, as reported by Indaw Revolution yesterday, July 4. As the Military Council advanced towards Mezar, they used air support in front of their columns and forcibly entered the villages. "They are entering villages where there are internally displaced persons, with drone bombs and airstrikes. The internally displaced persons have to flee again," a resistance news source told the Irrawaddy Times regarding the situation of internally displaced persons on the ground. Furthermore, it is known that the Military Council bombed Pinchar Village using drones on July 3, and also set fire to and destroyed some civilian houses in Nanthe Village and Ale Sate Village. The Military Council is desperately trying to regain control of the strategically important Mandalay-Myitkyina road and railway, including Mezar, Indaw, Nabhar, and Molyu in the Sagaing-Kachin border region, which were controlled by the resistance joint forces.
