Exim Bank raises export growth projection to 7%
The Export-Import Bank of Thailand (Exim Bank) has revised its export growth forecast for the year upwards to 7%, from a previous estimate of 2%, following a significant 17% surge in shipments during the first quarter. Despite this upward revision, the projected growth remains below many other institutions' forecasts and signifies a slowdown from the 12.7% expansion seen last year. Exim Bank aims to act as an "export co-pilot" to support Thai businesses amidst global economic uncertainties.
