Prabowo Accelerates 100 GW Solar Power Plant Development, Aims to Phase Out Diesel Plants
Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto announced an accelerated development plan for 100 Gigawatts (GW) of Solar Power Plants (PLTS) during the explanation of the 2027 State Budget. This initiative includes the phased shutdown of diesel power plants (PLTD), aiming to save Rp73.9 trillion annually and conserve foreign exchange.
