Sara Duterte Arrives for Arraignment on Grave Threat Charges

Vice President Sara Duterte arrived at the Quezon City Hall of Justice on Friday for her arraignment on grave threat charges. The charges stem from remarks she made during an online press conference in 2024. She was accompanied by her brother, Rep. Paolo Duterte, as they briefly greeted supporters before heading into the QC Regional Trial Court. The Department of Justice filed the grave threat charges against Duterte on August 11, in connection with her statement during the presser where she said she had already talked to someone to kill President Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr., First Lady Liza Araneta-Marcos, and then House Speaker Martin Romualdez if anything happened to her.
