Cambodia Holds Bid Opening for 2026 Commune Fund Projects in Kampong Speu Province
A bid opening meeting was held in Chbar Mon City, Kampong Speu Province, Cambodia, for infrastructure development projects funded by the 2026 Commune Fund. Two sub-districts will see the construction of concrete roads totaling approximately 427 million riels (about $105,000 USD), with seven companies participating in the bidding process.
A bid opening meeting for the 2026 Commune Fund projects was held in Chbar Mon City, Kampong Speu Province. The meeting was organized by the Provincial Department of Planning and Investment in cooperation with the administrations of Roka Thom and Supoteap communes. The event was presided over by Mr. Om Chon, Chief of Roka Thom Commune and Chairman of the Procurement Committee, along with the Chief of Supoteap Commune, and attended by provincial/district observers, relevant ministry representatives, company representatives, and numerous journalists. Seven companies participated in this bidding session. The projects up for tender include the construction of one concrete road in Roka Thom commune, measuring 0.368 km in length, 6 meters in width, and 150 mm in thickness, along with the installation of one project sign. The estimated cost for this project is 258,446,900 riels. Additionally, a concrete road construction project in Supoteap commune, measuring 0.237 km in length, 6 meters in width, and 150 mm in thickness, along with one project sign, has an estimated cost of 168,319,900 riels. Following the opening of the bids, the company that submitted the lowest bid for the Roka Thom commune project was Sukchea Dailyin Construction, with a bid of 161,000,000 riels. For the Supoteap commune project, the lowest bid was submitted by Vibol Ratana, amounting to 99,540,000 riels. As a testament to their commitment, representatives from all companies made pledges to implement the projects with responsibility and to guarantee the quality and technical standards of the construction. Mr. Om Chon, Chairman of the Procurement Committee, highly praised the outcomes of the bidding participation, noting the successful results and the adherence to procedures. He further advised the construction contractors to implement the projects in accordance with technical standards to ensure quality and long-term usability.
