MANILA, Philippines — Employment platform Jobstreet by SEEK is strengthening its support to micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) with wider capacity-building programs through local government units (LGUs). Jobstreet has rolled out a series of business talks, summits and capacity-building initiatives in partnership with LGUs to provide MSMEs with tools and capabilities to attract necessary talents for their expansions. The firm noted that around 46 percent of MSMEs in the country are experiencing a talent crisis amid an aggressive plan to expand their workforces, based on a survey by Boston Consulting Group and the Department of Trade and Industry. In Pasig, Jobstreet introduced its FREE Lite Job Ads and AI-assisted job ad creation that could help small businesses find talent in a more accessible way. The company also trained Quezon City-based hirers on how to use digital recruitment tools, provide entrepreneurial insights and collaborate within the local business community to help them address workforce needs while navigating business growth. Jobstreet, in partnership with PH Business Network, also held dedicated business clinics that offered personalized, one-on-one consultations with business advisors and industry experts for MSMEs. The MSMEs were also introduced to practical recruitment solutions, free hiring tools and employer resources aimed at making hiring more accessible and manageable for growing businesses through other engagements of Jobstreet. Jobstreet said supporting MSMEs is not just limited to providing recruitment tools but helping entrepreneurs that building the “right team” is critical in building a stronger and more sustainable business. “We believe that growing a business starts with having the right people behind it,” said Dannah Majarocon, managing director of Jobstreet by SEEK in the Philippines. “Through our partnerships and engagements with MSMEs, we hope to make hiring more accessible and empower more Filipino businesses to grow with confidence, supported by the right talent,” Majarocon added.
