Cambodia Launches "Techo Digital Talent" Scholarship for 600 Students

The Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications has announced the opening of applications for the "Techo Digital Talent" scholarship program, offering 600 spots for undergraduate students for the 2026-2027 academic year. The program fully covers tuition fees until graduation and provides each laureate with a laptop. The "Techo Digital Talent" scholarship program was established with the aim of contributing to the increase of skilled digital human resources, which will become digital human capital to drive the transformation of Cambodia's economy into a digital economy. This scholarship program is under the constant attention of Prime Minister Hun Manet regarding the future of young men and women in the digital era. According to the Ministry's announcement, these 600 "Techo Digital Talent" scholarships are for undergraduate studies in digital technology fields at seven higher education institutions. These include the Cambodia Academy of Digital Technology (CADT) with 200 spots, the American University of Phnom Penh (AUPP) with 200 spots, the Royal University of Phnom Penh (RUPP) with 75 spots, the Institute of Technology of Cambodia (ITC) with 65 spots, the National University of Management (NUM) with 20 spots, Paragon International University with 20 spots, and the University of Cambodia (UC) with 20 spots. Laureates of the scholarship program will receive a laptop and 100% tuition fee coverage until the completion of their bachelor's degree, with tuition costs ranging from $3,100 to $24,700 USD. They will also have opportunities for good jobs with high salaries in government ministries, institutions, or technology companies both domestically and internationally, with support from CADT to facilitate their successful completion of studies. Eligibility criteria for candidate selection require all applicants to pass a competitive examination organized by the scholarship committee, adhering to the following conditions: - Must be a student who passed the upper secondary school diploma for the 2026 academic year with a combined grade of A, B, or C. - Must pass the competitive examination as determined below. - Students from impoverished families, remote areas, persons with disabilities, and female students are encouraged. - Candidates selected for the Institute of Technology of Cambodia must fulfill the institute's specific admission requirements. Registration and examination procedures are separate. Applicants must pass two competitive examinations in Mathematics, Logic, and English, as well as a personal interview at the Cambodia Academy of Digital Technology.
