Mondulkiri Governor Issues Stern Warning Against Resumption of Online Scams

Mondulkiri Provincial Governor, Mr. Kong Kimny, has declared a firm stance that the provincial administration will not allow any online scam locations or other technological offenses to reappear. He sternly warned those intending to secretly resume operations to abandon such thoughts immediately. "As part of the provincial unified command, there will be no exceptions, regardless of how significant one's position or prestige may be. They will be cracked down upon in the same manner," Mr. Kimny stated during a tree-planting event held on July 31, 2026. Mr. Kimny explained that although the crackdown campaign against online scam sites led by the government has temporarily subdued such criminal activities, the Mondulkiri Provincial Administration and the Provincial Unified Command will continue to monitor and suppress them regularly, leaving no opportunity for criminal elements to revive. The new provincial governor also appealed to those involved in online scam activities or other offenses within the jurisdiction to withdraw immediately. He emphasized that the law will be enforced equally, with no exceptions for any individual.
