Philippines Secures P14 Billion French Loan for Blue Economy Reforms

The Philippines has secured a P14.03 billion loan from France's Agence Française de Développement (AFD) to fund reforms aimed at protecting marine ecosystems, expanding the blue economy, and creating sustainable livelihoods for over three million Filipinos. The MEBED 1 program will support policy reforms, improve waste management, and foster sustainable use of marine resources.
