According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, cumulonimbus clouds have been observed across Vietnam as of the afternoon of September 10, influenced by a combination of the low-pressure system, a cold air mass, the intertropical convergence zone, and the southwest monsoon. In Hanoi, the influx of cold air lowered temperatures below 31 degrees Celsius, leading to localized flooding in some low-lying areas. While the northern region is predicted to see reduced rainfall and more sunny days, heavy rain alerts remain in effect for the central region. Specifically, from September 11 to 13, rainfall ranging from 30mm to over 150mm is forecast for areas from the southern province of Nghe An to Da Nang, eastern Quang Ngai province, and the northern part of the Central Highlands. Furthermore, from September 14 to 17, the influence of the intertropical convergence zone is expected to bring continued widespread heavy rains to the central region, increasing the risk of landslides, flash floods, and localized inundation. Authorities are emphasizing the uncertainty surrounding the low-pressure system's trajectory and intensity, urging residents and local governments to closely monitor the latest forecasts and prepare for potential disasters. There is a possibility of it developing into a tropical depression or typhoon, which would be the sixth storm to hit the East Sea this year.
