Vietnam Military Academy Announces Highest Entrance Score for 2026 Admissions

The Academy of Logistics (Học viện Hậu cần), a military institution, has become the first in Vietnam to announce its highest entrance score for the 2026 academic year. The top score reached 26.98 out of a possible 30, with some candidates achieving a perfect score of 10 in mathematics. This marks a significant increase compared to the previous year. For male candidates from the North, the highest admission score was 26.98, with 67 students admitted against a quota of 69. Consequently, two additional students with a score of 26.97 were accepted. For male candidates from the South, the admission score was 25.65, filling the quota of 45 students. Compared to last year, this year's admission scores have increased by 0.98 to 1.98 points. The academy does not admit female students. Admitted candidates are required to confirm their enrollment online through the Ministry of Education and Training's system by 5 PM on August 21st. Direct admission at the academy is scheduled for September 3rd. The Academy of Logistics will send admission notices to candidates via the military recruitment boards of their respective provinces and cities. Candidates must prepare the necessary documents as instructed in the admission notice. The Academy of Logistics plans to recruit 116 students for its military program in 2026, utilizing four admission methods. These include direct admission and priority admission for national and international award recipients, scores from competency assessment tests by Vietnam National Universities (Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City), high school graduation exam scores, and scores from competency assessment tests organized by the Ministry of Defense. In addition to those admitted based on the announced scores, two other candidates were given priority admission due to receiving encouragement awards in Physics and Mathematics at the national level. The heightened competition for prestigious educational institutions, particularly military academies, reflects the strong emphasis on academic achievement and future career prospects within Vietnam's society. The significant rise in admission scores suggests an increasing demand for specialized higher education and a highly competitive environment for aspiring students aiming for elite programs.
