Cambodian Deputy Prime Minister to Visit Malaysia for Bilateral Cooperation Talks

Cambodian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Prak Sokhonn, will undertake an official visit to Malaysia from August 3 to 4, 2026, at the invitation of Dato' Seri Utama Haji Mohamad Bin Haji Hasan, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Malaysia. This visit aims to further strengthen bilateral cooperation between the two nations. During his visit, Deputy Prime Minister Sokhonn is scheduled to have a courtesy call with Malaysian Prime Minister Dato' Seri Anwar Ibrahim. He will also co-chair the 3rd Cambodia-Malaysia Joint Commission Meeting on Bilateral Cooperation with Mr. Mohamad Hassan. This meeting will comprehensively review the progress achieved in implementing the minutes of the 2nd Joint Commission Meeting and other agreements previously reached. Specific measures to further deepen and broaden cooperation across various sectors are expected to be outlined during the 3rd Joint Commission Meeting. This initiative is anticipated to inject new momentum into the robust and multifaceted relationship between Cambodia and Malaysia, reaffirming the shared commitment of both nations to promoting peace, prosperity, and sustainable development for the benefit of their peoples.
