Aceh Flood Victims Rebuild Lives in Temporary Shelters, Dompet Dhuafa Accelerates Aid

Six months after the devastating floods in Pidie Jaya, Aceh in November 2025, many victims are unable to return home and are living in temporary shelters (rumtara). The Islamic charity Dompet Dhuafa has built 68 such units in the district to aid recovery. Working with local governments and the National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB), they are ensuring fair allocation of these shelters to flood-affected communities.
