Army patrol attacked in Tiddim Township, 6 killed

In Tiddim Township, Chin State, an army patrol and a joint force were attacked at night, resulting in the deaths of six individuals, according to the People's Defence Force (Zolein) on July 22. The joint force of the army and the Zomi Revolutionary Army (ZRA) was ambushed by PDF Zolein around 8 PM on July 21, while patrolling the area between Tiddim town and Mount Kanedee. "They were patrolling at night with military vehicles. They attacked the army. This battle was also a battle with the army," a person close to the PDF Zolein force told the Irrawaddy Times. The ZRA also issued a statement yesterday, stating that three ZRA comrades were killed due to an ambush by PDF Zolein using landmines, small arms, and heavy weapons.
