At the Vietnam International Sourcing 2026, held from September 3rd to 5th in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnamese rice brand Mê Gạo showcased its diverse rice products from the Mekong Delta, aiming to expand its reach in the international market. The expo, guided by the Ministry of Industry and Trade, featured over 600 businesses and was expected to attract around 15,000 commercial buyers from more than 60 countries and territories, facilitating thousands of B2B connections. Mê Gạo utilized this platform to enhance the international value and image of Vietnamese rice through direct negotiations with domestic and international distributors, retailers, and B2B partners. The brand presented a product lineup catering to various consumer tastes, including varieties such as ST25, ST21, Đài Thơm 8, Lài KDM, Nếp Nam Lá Xanh, and Japonica. These rice types are offered in multiple packaging sizes, from 1kg to 25kg, suitable for household consumption, food services, and large-scale distribution. Mê Gạo recognizes that practical supply capacity is crucial for international cooperation. The company builds partnerships based on stable quality, clear origin, appropriate specifications, and timely delivery. Feedback from buyers is used to refine products, packaging, and customer engagement strategies, fostering long-term cooperative relationships. A representative from Mê Gạo stated, "We hope the business meetings at the exhibition will serve as new bridges of cooperation, bringing Vietnamese rice products closer to both domestic and international consumers." The company is committed to enhancing the value of Vietnamese rice by strictly controlling quality throughout the process, from raw material selection to processing, packaging, and distribution, in collaboration with producers in the Mekong Delta. Under Vietnam's one-party system, the agricultural sector is a vital pillar of the national economy. Expanding exports is crucial for earning foreign currency and improving rural incomes. Rice is a key Vietnamese export commodity, and maintaining its international competitiveness is a significant focus of the government's agricultural policies. Diversifying export markets is also seen as a way to stabilize Vietnam's economy amid complex relationships with neighboring countries.
