Ho Chi Minh City Collects 29 Sets of Martyrs' Remains from Park

The search and excavation for martyrs' remains are underway at Le Thi Rieng Park in Ho Chi Minh City. As of 4 PM on July 10th, after five days of official work, the Martyrs' Remains Collection Team under the City Command has collected 29 sets of remains along with some artifacts. This operation is part of a national effort to identify soldiers lost in war and ensure their dignified return. The "Operation to Search, Collect, and Identify Martyrs' Remains," spanning 118 days, has led to the discovery and identification of numerous fallen soldiers. In Vietnam, the collection and identification of martyrs' remains hold significant importance in healing the wounds of war and fostering national unity and development. This work not only cultivates patriotism and respect for the sacrifices made but also plays a role in strengthening social cohesion. In recent years, the Vietnamese government has also focused on technological advancements for identifying remains, introducing cutting-edge techniques such as DNA analysis. This aims to identify remains more quickly and accurately, bringing solace to the bereaved families.
