On the afternoon of July 5, 2026, Mr. Khlok Nuy, Deputy Governor of Banteay Meanchey Province, representing the Provincial Administration, led a team of technical experts to directly inspect the progress of the clean water network connection for residents in the aforementioned area. During the inspection, Mr. Khlok Nuy clearly stated the government's stance, with the provincial administration acting as its arm, that providing clean water services is not merely routine but a response to necessity and the deep concern of the government's leadership and provincial authorities for the well-being and living conditions of the people. He emphasized that the inspection demonstrated the strong attention of Prime Minister Dr. Hun Manet and Governor Oum Ratry towards the lives of the displaced citizens residing here. "We cannot let our people face difficulties due to a lack of water, as water is a vital resource for life and health," he stated. The inspection aimed to ensure that the water network connection is implemented with high technical efficiency and effectiveness. This includes the connection of new water lines to 513 households and the installation of water meters for 2,805 households, which will facilitate equitable and transparent water management and usage. Through these connections, a total of over 3,300 households in Rong Cham village will receive adequate clean water, marking a significant achievement in improving the living standards of the local population. Mr. Khlok Nuy instructed the technical team and the water supply company to expedite the work to ensure continuous access to clean water for the residents. He also appealed to the citizens to participate in maintaining the water distribution network and to use water sparingly to ensure the sustainability of the supply.
