Vietnam Communist Party Pushes for Timely, High-Quality Review of 40-Year National Construction Platform

The Communist Party of Vietnam has called for the timely and high-quality completion of the review of its 40-year national construction platform (1991-2031), adopted by the 7th National Party Congress in 1991. This platform is considered particularly important for the development of the Party's theoretical thinking. The review aims to clarify the platform's value and vitality, as well as the issues facing Vietnam's development model in the current context. Vietnam, under its one-party system, has achieved rapid economic growth but faces ongoing questions about its sustainability and socio-economic challenges. This review is expected to strengthen the theoretical foundation for future national development strategies by summarizing past experiences and adapting to complex international dynamics and domestic socio-economic changes. The Vietnamese Communist Party has consistently emphasized that external relations and international integration are vital to national construction and defense. Therefore, cooperation with the international community and adaptation to the global economic system will likely be key elements in this review.
