On the afternoon of July 29, 48 Vietnamese seafarers safely returned to shore and reunited with their families. They were rescued through coordinated efforts by Chinese and Vietnamese authorities after the ship Khôi Nguyên 18 encountered an accident. On July 30, responding to reporters' questions requesting updates on the search and rescue operations for the Vietnamese seafarers on the Khôi Nguyên 18, Vietnamese Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Phạm Thu Hằng stated that Vietnamese authorities have so far recovered the body of one victim. The Vietnamese authorities continue to conduct search and rescue operations for the remaining seafarers with the utmost determination. In addition to Chinese authorities, the Philippine authorities also collaborated on-site with Vietnamese functional forces during this search and rescue operation. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed gratitude for the international community's concern and active support in these rescue efforts.
