Vietnam Chess Federation Secretary General Resigns Amidst Selection Process Criticisms
Nguyen Minh Thang, Secretary General of the Vietnam Chess Federation, has resigned. This follows criticisms regarding the selection process for the 2026 Chess Olympiad team and an inquiry from the International Chess Federation (FIDE) into training courses. An executive committee meeting will be convened to elect a new Secretary General.
