Thai House to Boost Athlete Support at Asian Games
Thailand will establish a "Thai House" in Japan to offer comprehensive support, including sports science services and enhanced nutrition, for its athletes competing in the 20th Asian Games from September 19 to October 4, aiming to boost their performance.
The Sports Authority of Thailand (SAT) will establish a "Thai House" in Japan to provide comprehensive support for the Thai contingent participating in the 20th Asian Games, scheduled to be held in Japan from September 19 to October 4. According to SAT Governor Kongsak Yodmanee, the Thai House will offer sports science services utilizing modern technology. These services include massage, physiotherapy, rehabilitation, and recovery. The center will operate from September 18 to October 3 across two locations. Initially, it will be based at Chunichi Hall & Conference from September 18–24, before relocating to TKP Nagoya Sakae Conference Center from September 25 to October 3. A key feature of this year's Thai House will be enhanced nutritional support, with Ajinomoto providing personalized nutrition plans for Thai athletes. These plans will be tailored to each athlete’s training and competition program, and meals will incorporate Thai food and familiar flavors. Ajinomoto, which has a long history of supporting Japan's national athletes, has designated Thailand as the first foreign country to receive its support under this program. Kongsak noted that several other countries have expressed interest in adopting Thailand's model of combining sports science with personalized nutrition support. Kongsak expressed confidence that this enhanced support will help Thai athletes achieve their best performance at the Asian Games.
