Vietnam State Audit Office Boosts International Cooperation, Promotes AI and Big Data Use
The State Audit Office of Vietnam is actively promoting international cooperation through forums like ASOSAI and bilateral meetings, focusing on the application of AI, big data, and digital analytics in auditing and citizen participation.
The State Audit Office of Vietnam (SAV) is strengthening its international cooperation and promoting the adoption of advanced technologies in the auditing sector. At a recent conference in Astana, Kazakhstan, participants engaged in active discussions on the application of artificial intelligence (AI), big data, and digital analytics in auditing, as well as the role of citizen participation. Key focuses included selecting technologies suitable for audit needs, ensuring data quality, and maintaining human oversight. The SAV has affirmed its active role in the forums of the Asian Organization of Supreme Audit Institutions (ASOSAI). Furthermore, Vietnam is enhancing cooperative ties with China's state audit offices. In parallel, the top legislator of Vietnam expressed a wish for closer cooperation between the state audit agencies of Vietnam and Laos. These initiatives underscore Vietnam's commitment to international collaboration and its drive to improve audit quality and efficiency through technological innovation. Within Vietnam's one-party system, enhancing transparency and accountability by government bodies is crucial for supporting economic growth, and the adoption of international best practices is seen as part of this effort. The strengthening of relations with China, a neighboring major power, can also be interpreted as a strategic move considering regional influence and economic ties. Source: VietnamPlus English
