Over 30,000 Mindanao Consumers Still Without Power After Major Quake
More than 30,000 consumers in Mindanao remain without electricity five days after a magnitude 7.8 earthquake struck the region, the Department of Energy (DOE) reported. The DOE attributes the delay to the location of affected customers at the far ends of distribution lines. A "Task Force Kapatid" has been mobilized to expedite restoration efforts.
