PKB Confirms Continued Alliance with Prabowo, Aiming to Realize New Economic Direction

National Awakening Party (PKB) Chairman Muhaimin Iskandar, also known as Cak Imin, stated that his party will continue to work with President Prabowo Subianto to realize a new direction for the economy. According to him, the direction of this aspiration is already visible. "PKB will continue to work with Mr. Prabowo to succeed this new economic direction. This is an aspiration whose policy direction seems to be starting to become visible," he said at the 28th Anniversary of PKB's Birth at JCC, Senayan, Jakarta, Thursday (23/7/2026). He believes that various regulations issued by President Prabowo are a manifestation of commitment to the welfare of the people. This, he said, is in line with PKB's commitment. "Laws and various regulations are the next steps from the commitment of Mr. President and PKB's commitment to continue realizing this country to be rich and to be enjoyed by its own people," explained Cak Imin. "This sincerity is what has led us all today to the conclusion that this new economic direction must not stop," he added. He also believes that what President Prabowo has initiated is a new, good, and just path for the economy. Therefore, the shift in economic paradigm must be utilized for the prosperity of the people. "For the last 25 years, we have worked hard with legislative and executive parties to achieve economic growth. We have also created all sorts of regulations to jointly realize economic growth," he explained. "However, we sometimes forget that economic growth does not always go hand in hand with equitable distribution and justice. PKB witnesses that Mr. Prabowo, the President of the Republic of Indonesia, is genuinely aligning economic growth with equitable distribution and justice," he concluded. It is known that President Prabowo Subianto and Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka also attended the 28th Anniversary of PKB. Chairmen of various political parties attended, including Golkar Chairman Bahlil Lahadalia, Democrat Chairman Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (AHY), PKS President Al Muzammil Yusuf, and PAN Chairman Zulkifli Hasan (Zulhas).
