Cambodia Launches Voter Registration and List Verification Campaign for 2026 Election

The National Election Committee (NEC) of Cambodia announced that the official process for verifying voter lists and registering new voters for the upcoming 2026 general election will commence nationwide from October 7 to November 30. The registration and verification will take place in communes and sangkats across the country. The campaign aims to enhance public understanding of the electoral process and to raise awareness about the significance of voter list verification and registration. To achieve this objective, the NEC has launched an awareness program concerning the verification of voter lists and voter registration for the 2026 election. This program will be broadcast on FM radio stations in all 25 provinces and cities from October 1 to October 30. For 30 days, a one-hour daily program will feature speakers from provincial and municipal election committees who will answer questions, clarify doubts, and address requests from listeners. The initiative provides an opportunity for citizens and stakeholders to learn about the electoral process, resolve their queries, and prepare for the verification and registration of voter lists in 2026.
