Thanlyin refinery is being test run

Thanlyin Refinery Project Part 1 is being test run step by step according to the refinery operating procedures, and Union Minister for Electricity and Energy U Ko Ko Lwin inspected and examined the test run on September 14. As fuel shortages are occurring worldwide and prices are also rising, the Union Minister U Ko Ko Lwin stated that our country is strictly managing and working to ensure the systematic use of fuel, and is also striving to be able to produce it domestically. It is said that the refinery to be operated now is the first refinery that can perform control, monitoring, and adjustment from the control room, and therefore, it is necessary to provide systematic training to the staff. It is reported that Thanlyin Refinery Project Part 1 plans to refine 500,000 tons of crude oil per year.
