General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam Central Committee and President To Lam sent a heartfelt message to children across the country and abroad, as well as foreign children living in Vietnam, on the occasion of the 2026 Mid-Autumn Festival. The message expresses wishes for their healthy development and future contributions to Vietnam. In his message, General Secretary and President To Lam recalled the traditional joys of the Mid-Autumn Festival, where children eagerly await the rising moon, carry lanterns, watch lion dances, share mooncakes, and listen to folk tales. He emphasized that every child, regardless of whether they grow up in bustling cities, remote villages, border areas, or islands, deserves a peaceful childhood, to attend school, and to be protected and loved. Special attention was given to children in remote, mountainous, border, island, ethnic minority, and disadvantaged areas, with a commitment to ensure no child is deprived of care and no circumstance diminishes their innocent joy and dreams. Stating that children are the future generation of Vietnam, General Secretary and President To Lam encouraged them to study diligently, practice Ho Chi Minh's Five Teachings, respect and be filial to their elders and teachers, unite with and love their friends, maintain their health, nurture compassion and love for their homeland, and continuously improve themselves. He expressed confidence that with the love and responsibility of families, teachers, and society as a whole, children will grow, learn valuable lessons, follow in the footsteps of their ancestors, and contribute to the construction of Vietnam. He concluded by wishing all children good health, diligence, academic success, a joyful, safe, and beneficial Mid-Autumn Festival, and hope for the bright future that awaits them. Sincerely, TÔ LÂM General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam, President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam
