Vietnamese National Assembly Chairman Visits South Korea, Mongolia to Strengthen Ties

Chairman of the National Assembly Tran Thanh Man, accompanied by his wife Tran Thi Thuy Hieu, has commenced official visits to South Korea and Mongolia. On the afternoon of September 6 (local time), Chairman Man and his delegation arrived in Seoul, the capital of South Korea, marking the first step of his tour. This visit is positioned to open a new phase of development in the relations between Vietnam and both South Korea and Mongolia. In particular, with South Korea, the aim is to further develop the "comprehensive strategic partnership" and enhance the quality of cooperation between the two countries. Strengthening collaboration across a wide range of fields, including economy, security, and cultural exchange, is expected to be a key focus. Under its one-party system, Vietnam is pursuing economic growth while emphasizing the strengthening of relations with the international community. South Korea is a crucial economic partner for Vietnam, holding significant presence in foreign direct investment (FDI) and trade. This visit has the potential to further solidify these economic ties and lead to the creation of new investment opportunities and the strengthening of supply chains. Furthermore, amidst the complex relationship with China, Vietnam also appears to be aiming to diversify its relationships with friendly nations and ensure diplomatic stability.
