Hue City Responds Swiftly to Heavy Rains, Averting Crisis

Hue City in central Vietnam is facing a high risk of landslides, flash floods, floods, and marine incidents due to several days of heavy rainfall. As of the morning of September 13, initial damages have been recorded in some areas. The city continues to maintain emergency readiness, evacuating residents from dangerous areas and proactively managing reservoir operations to prepare for complex developments. The heavy rainfall is caused by a tropical depression with gusts up to level 8, bringing torrential rain from Ha Tinh to Hue, with some localities experiencing over 350mm of precipitation. This tropical depression also poses flood risks from Thanh Hoa to Da Nang. Vietnam is actively responding to heavy rains, floods, and inundation in the central and northern mountainous regions, with warnings issued for landslide risks in mountainous areas.
